How did you spend winter holidays?
Here are some of the answers and comments the students from our school gave:

I enjoyed the winter holidays this year because we had a lot of snow and it was frosty so I could go with my friends outside and have fun in the snow. We were playing different games, we had snowball fights and we even made a snowman (but without a carrot and a broom). It was fantastic and great fun!
Ola, Year 2

I went to Zakopane on winter holidays. My father taught me how to ski. I prefered going down a hill on a sledge with my cousin. In the evenings my cousin and I were a little bored. We couldn't watch TV so we looked at our photos in our digital camera and played cards.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2006!
Have a good Christmas time, fabulous New Year's Eve Party and successful and full of love New Year 2006!

Before the Christmas break the whole school sang our favourite Christmas song - "Last Christmas" by Wham.
Below you can read the lyrics to this song:

Chorus:
Last christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I’ll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me baby do you recognize me?
Well it’s been a year it doesn’t surprise me
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying I love you I meant it
Now I know what a fool I’ve been
But if you kissed me now
I know you’d fool me again

Poetry and songs from Lvov
On 27th November in the Executioner's House took place The XI Koszalinian Contest of Poetry and Songs from Lvov. Numerous young singers and artists came from Koszalin, Swidwin, Oparzno, Tychowo, Białogard and Grzmi±ca. On this day they performed the repertoire which gradually is disappearing in our consciousness.
Our school was represented by Magda Michalkowicz from class IIIB. She performed two songs: "Kto Cie raz poznal" and "Gwiazda". The jury of the contest formed by professionals noticed our representative and gave her one of the prizes and a diplomma. It's a great success of Magda! Mr Waldemar Jarosz, our Arts teacher is her tutor.
Congratulations!

The Prevention Day
As every year, we had the Prevention Day in our school. It was held on 9th November. This day the third classes went to the Public Library to watch a performance prepared by a theatrical troupe from Koszalin and Slupsk, entitled “Dealer”. The play was based on real life problems of alcohol addicts and its aim was to warn the young people against the consequences of drinking alcohol. After the performance, the actors invited two of the students from class IIIC, Iza Wójcik and Tomek Gradke, to roleplay more real life situations. The students did terrific and were applauded greatly.
The rest of the students from our school took part in the workshops based on the alcoholic problems and other addictions. At the end of the day, the pupils put the posters they prepared on the school walls entitled “A happy family without alcohol”. According to jury, the best posters were made by classes: ID, IIC and IA.

Gimnazjada 2005
One of the traditions of our school is a contest among fist class students called – Gimnazjada. During the event the youngest girls and boys become “legal” students of our school. They take part in sport competitions, show their artistic skills and have a lot of fun.
This year it took place on 26th October. Classes applauded their teams, so did the parents. The students had been preparing to the competitions for a whole month. The class IC won the competition, received a cake and took care of a huge teddy bear – the symbol of the winning class in our Gimnazjum. Each pupil also got something sweet as a prize.
